Day 5 in Paris: Christmas Day with Ladurée and Bateaux Parisiens

It's Christmas day and as most shops and museums were closed, it's a day for food and outdoor photos! Departing from the Notre Dame --> Hôtel de Ville (City Hall) --> Louvre --> Jardin des Tuileries --> Place de la Concorde --> Champs-Élysées while checking out the Christmas markets. Quite a long stroll indeed.

Highlight, macaroons at Ladurée, where my idea of a macaroon was completely revolutionized. Absolutely delicious!

We got a box of 24 in order to try at least one of every flavor. Macaroons are best eaten with 3 days of purchase, but surprisingly the task of emptying the box was not nearly as daunting as expected.

After some more photos of the Eiffel Tower and more Christmas market at Jardins du Trocadéro. Dinner on the Bateaux Parisiens for a 6pm dinner cruise, departing right under the Eiffel Tower.

My order
Appetizer: Baked eggs, fricassée of mushrooms and bacon
Main: Salmon steak with pan stirred chicory

My companion's order

My dessert: Île flottante with pink pralines
The Other: Chocolate mousse, toasted brioche

View of the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty on the return trip

Amazing time!
